Below you will find information about our great silent auction items and instructions on how to bid. Information about these items will also be posted outside the office at Howard. Bidding is open from October 17 – 28. Thank you for your interest!
______________________________________________________________________ Bidding Instructions
Because the Raffle Committee is staffed by volunteers (who are busy parents just like you), we do not currently have the technical capability to provide for instantaneous bid updating as used on eBay. Instead, your bid will be emailed to us, and we will have to manually change the “current bid.” For that reason, we ask that when you bid, you also include your maximum bid. This will allow us to adjust your bid when another bid comes in, and you do not have to continuously check the site. (A maximum bid is optional and not required.)
Steps to Bid
1) Click on “Click here to bid.” This will open your email account and create an email addressed to paigebitter@sbcglobal.net .
2) In the email, please include your name, telephone number, and the silent auction item. Then name your current bid, maximum bid (optional), and the “user name” you wish to use with your bid. Here is an example:
“Paige Bitter, 828-6227, Spurs Tickets. My current bid is $200,
and my maximum bid is $500. Please use ‘Bitter' as my user name.”
3) Send the email to us, and we will update the bid. We will do our best to notify you if you are outbid, but we ask that you also check the site on a daily basis.
Please email or call us with any questions. We realize this is an innovative way to conduct a silent auction, but we hope it will be a great fundraiser for Howard.
